Whiting Exclusive Hebert Miner Hen Saddle in Fl.Lime Green

With so many customers wanting densely fibred hackles that will give a massive amount of colour with a few turns nige as turned his attention to the Whiting Hen Saddles, but NOT just any Hen Saddle as the same customers are wanting to tie way down small from the sizes you would normally associate with Hen Saddles!!! To get the Hackle Density and Size Range required nige is creating a new product range of hot traditional Salmon & Sea Trout Colours, to complete this will take time as we require pure white hen saddles to do dye these colours and this is the other issue!! To get the hackle density and range of sizes we require we have had to go for the Hebert Miner Hen Saddle Range, a hen bird strain that is more associated with dry flies, but all that selective breeding for the perfect dry fly hackle gives the longer short fibered hackles we are after but the numbers of white saddles coming through the breeding stock will always be low!!! We are confident you will able to cover size 14-10approx. with these hackles when tied in by the tip!! Uses :- Wet Fly, Lures, Streamers, Mini Lures, Sea Trout, Small Salmon Flies any subsurface pattern where you want a strong splash of colour!!!
